Great Place to Stop and Stretch Your Legs
Forgot to mention in yesterday's post that Uncle Grumpy and I stopped at Morris Farm Market in Currituck, NC on the drive home from our short trip to the Outer Banks.
Morris Farm Market
UG had previously visited this market, one of several farm markets along highway 158 heading back from the shore. It had to be one of the best-planned and organized places I've ever been. From the enormous parking lot to the spotless bathrooms I was flabbergasted at how much thought and care was evident in the overall efficiency of the market. The displays of local produce, ciders, cheeses and even birdhouses were separated by wide aisles, probably intended to let shoppers flow easily through the store when it was jammed pack.
It was still early and there were just a few other shoppers so we asked if our grand-dog could join us. The manager had no problem, but graciously asked for us to keep him "close by."
That was a little difficult with everyone reaching out to pet him...
